Complete Beginner Russian – In-Person Class in Berkeley

Accessible to learners from Oakland, San Francisco & across the Bay Area

Course Dates:

This in-person Russian class for complete beginners runs from June 3rd to July 8th, held at our Berkeley location at:

📍 2161 Shattuck Ave, Suites 234–235, Berkeley, CA

Classes meet weekly in small groups of 3–6 students, creating a highly interactive, supportive learning environment.
If only two students enroll, the course will still run but will be shortened to five weeks instead of the usual six.

This location is easily accessible for students commuting from Oakland and San Francisco via BART or car.

About the Instructor

Olga, originally from Belarus, is a passionate language educator with a strong academic background. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French and English Languages (University of Mogilev), a Master’s in Pedagogical Sciences(Minsk Linguistic University), and is ABD in Belarusian Language and Literature.

Her research focuses on Russian-speaking women's literature of Belarus, giving her deep insight into both language and culture. Olga is fluent in Russian, Belarusian, French, English, and has studied Latin, offering students a broad, multilingual perspective. Her teaching is clear, engaging, and culturally rich.

Who This Course Is For

This course is ideal for complete beginners with no prior knowledge or only limited exposure to Russian. If you're based in Berkeley, or nearby in Oakland or San Francisco, and want to learn Russian in an in-person, small-group setting, this is the perfect place to start.
