đź’» This is a live online course designed for adult learners who have already taken a Complete Beginner Tagalog class or have limited prior exposure to the language.

This Low Beginner Tagalog course is ideal for students who already know how to greet others, ask simple questions, and understand basic sentence structure in Tagalog.
If you’ve completed our Complete Beginner course or have learned some Tagalog informally—through family, travel, or self-study—this class is the perfect next step to build fluency and confidence.
🎯 What You’ll Learn
You’ll deepen your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary while learning to express more complex ideas in everyday situations. Topics include:
Expanded sentence structures and verb conjugations
Expressing likes, dislikes, wants, and needs
More advanced question and answer forms
Using common adverbs, prepositions, and time expressions
Talking about daily routines, plans, and family
Reading and understanding short conversations and stories

Interactive dialogues and listening exercises

👩‍🏫 About the Instructor
Joy was born, raised, and educated in the southern Philippines, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts in Filipino. Before moving to the U.S., she worked as a public school language teacher. Since relocating, she has spent over a decade training military personnel and U.S. Foreign Service Officers in Tagalog through language services on the East Coast. Her work has ranged from curriculum development and government consulting to standardized test creation—all with a passion for clarity, cultural immersion, and real-world application. Joy believes that language is not just a tool for communication, but a gateway to understanding people and the culture they live in.
