About the instructor: Olga was born and educated in Belarus. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in French and English Languages at the University of Mogilev in Belarus in 2008, Master’s Degree in pedagogical sciences at Minsk Linguistic University in 2009. She holds ABD in Belarusian Language and Literature (Dissertation title: „Actual style traditions of women’s Russian-speaking literature of Belarus (late 20th – early 21st centuries) “). Olga speaks Russian, Belarusian, French, English and she also studied Latin.

Russian Beginner 1 Syllabus

About the class: Russian Beginner 1 is the course for those who want to learn the Russian language from scratch. This course is designed for complete beginners or students who have had limited exposure to Russian in the past. You will be introduced to the basics of the Russian language, as well as provide insights into Russian culture, history, and traditions.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to read and write the Cyrillic alphabet, which is essential for understanding and communicating in Russian. Students will be introduced to topics such as introducing oneself, describing one's hobbies and interests, and expressing likes and dislikes. By the end of the course, students will will be able to carry on simple conversations in Russian with confidence.
