  • Deepen your cultural appreciation of Italy beyond the tourist lens

👩‍🏫 About the Instructor
Francesca L. is a native of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a culturally rich region in northeastern Italy. After studying Latin and Ancient Greek at a liceo classico, she earned a Master’s with honors in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Trieste.
She has worked as both a teacher and administrative assistant in Italy, while raising a family. After moving to the Bay Area, she began teaching Italian to adults at Stanford University's Bechtel International Center. She recently completed a year-long masterclass from Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, specializing in teaching Italian as a foreign language.
Francesca’s teaching is warm, structured, and deeply cultural—because learning a language is also about learning a way of life.
