Online Advanced Italian Grammar Friday 10am - 11am PST (January 2nd to February 27th) Instructor: Cinzia
This class will meet from online from January 2nd to February 27th.
About the Instructor: Cinzia is a native of Italy, born in the northern city of Turin and later moving to Siena, Tuscany, at the age of 15. She discovered her passion for languages in high school, where she studied French, Latin, and Ancient Greek. After graduating, she pursued a degree in Law at the University of Siena, earning her degree in 2001. However, her love for languages remained strong, and during her university years she received an Erasmus scholarship to study for six months at the University of Barcelona, where she also learned Spanish. Upon returning to Siena, Cinzia joined G.E.S. (Group Erasmus of Siena), a student association, and began teaching Italian to visiting students from other European countries, particularly Portugal and Britain. After completing her studies, she worked at a winery in Tuscany, where she was responsible for translating documents for both commercial and tourism purposes and for giving tours to American and European visitors. In 2012, Cinzia moved to the Bay Area with her husband. Alongside being a full-time mom, she has continued to share her passion for her native language by giving private Italian lessons.
Cinzia believes in teaching with clarity and simplicity, as she feels that true understanding is essential for lasting learning. She also emphasizes motivation—and a touch of fun—in every lesson.
